Underground swimming pool
The client had designed an underground swimming pool with access from his property.
The complex design and high water table at the location had resulted in significant water ingress through the concrete retaining walls.
Other systems had been applied to stop the water ingress but without success. Weber were bought in to provide a solution.
weber.cem dryrend 521 was chosen to waterproof the internal retaining walls of the pool. The material was applied using the wet spray method in two continuous layers of 20mm. The mortar was allowed to cure for several days before assessing it's effectiveness.
After 3 days the walls were dry and the water ingress had stopped allowing the finishing renders and the tiling to be completed on schedule.
